FCC主席Ajit Pai建议委员会拒绝中国移动（美国）申请在美开展电信相关业务的申请。
中国移动（美国）在2011年申请在美开展电信类服务。这个申请已经拖了很久没有被审批。目前美国联邦通信委员会主席已经表达认为应该拒绝中国移动的申请。理由是国家安全，并认为中国移动难以抵抗北京当局的控制。
“After reviewing the evidence in this proceeding, including the input provided by other federal agencies, it is clear that China Mobile’s application to provide telecommunications services in our country raises substantial and serious national security and law enforcement risks,” Mr. Pai said in a statement. “Therefore, I do not believe that approving it would be in the public interest.”
