Linyan Tian
My name is Linyan Tian, I am a rising Sophomore majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Law at USC, and I live in Pleasanton. I am currently an intern at Assemblymember Phil Ting's office. In my office, I learned the value of close interaction between local government and constituents through events such as community service hours. This program taught me how to network and present myself in a professional manner, as a well as the massive effort that takes place behind the scenes of campaigns and passing legislature.
Michelle Yu
My name is Michelle Yu from Pleasanton. I am a part of the APAPA SF Bay Area region chapter and an intern at Assemblymember Rob Bonta's office. Through the APAPA program, I have learned how to present myself professionally in the work place and the proper etiquette in the business world.
Jaymal Patel
My name is Jaymal Patel and I am from Dublin, CA. I interned over at the office of Mayor Jean Quan in Oakland, where I gained an in-depth understanding of City government and how it functions in relation to its various departments and the public. As an APAPA intern, I was also able to improve my communication skills, networking skills, and interview skills through the various workshops and events.
